Q. How can I take a free trial lesson?

For free trial lesson, click "Sign Up" button to register, then login to MYPAGE via confirmation e-mail sent to you and book a lesson from "Book by Calendar" or "Book by Tutor" on the menu. For more detail, please see "HOW TO USE" in "ABOUT" page on the menu.

Q. Is there any Japanese speaking course for the beginners?

Yes, we have the Japanese speaking course for the beginners. Please see the page for more detail by clicking on "BEGINNERS" on the menu.

Q. Do I need to create my profile?

Please do so that your tutor know about yourself as well as your objectives prior to a lesson.

Q. How do I book a tutor?

You need a JAPONEZE account to book a tutor. If you do not have an account, please sign up from the button above. If you already have an account, just log in to MYPAGE and click on either “Book by Calendar” or “Book by Tutor” on the menu to book a lesson.

Q. Can I contact a tutor before a lesson?

Yes, you can. Login to MYPAGE and click on “Lesson History” on the menu to display the relevant lesson with the tutor. You can type a message into the message box there. Please remember any messages sent to you by the tutor as reply are also displayed at this message area. If you already know your tutor's Skype account, you can chat with your tutor there as well.

Q. I want to verify if my booking is successful.

Once your booking has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from JAPONEZE Support Team. Or you can login to MYPAGE and check it in the dashboard.

Q. What do I do if the tutor does not call me?

  1. Call your tutor with their Skype ID (the booked tutor’s ID is shown on email).
  2. Restart Skype.
  3. Be no other software is running.
  4. If you still cannot make a call for several times, unfortunately the lesson seems to be canceled for some reason. You may leave a message to the tutor, access to the relevant lesson's page in MYPAGE to conduct “Report Completion” and set the lesson as “Not Started”.

Q. I could not take part in the lesson due to technical problem with my Skype or the internet.

Please report the problem when doing your “Report Completion.” Please check your internet connection or perform a Skype test. If this still have the problem, you can cancel the lesson before it starts. (Please be confirmed a cancellation less than 30 minutes before the start of the lesson will be charged 70% of the points required for the lesson.)

Q. If a lesson is cancelled, when do my points get refunded?

Your points will be refunded immediately. However, if a lesson is cancelled less than 30 minutes before the start of the lesson, it will be considered as an emergency cancellation, therefore your points will be refunded 15 minutes after the completion of the lesson. In terms of emergency cancellations, 70% of the points required for the lesson will be charged. Please note if the lesson did not started 10 minutes after the scheduled time, the lesson is treated as canceled.

Payment and Points

Q. How much is a point?

You get one point for every 1 yen.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards including VISA, MASTERCARD and JCB.

Q. I pay for monthly membership, but I have already used up all my points before they expired.

You can purchase additional points anytime. When you purchase additional points, the expiry date of your current points is extended to another one month from the purchase date.

Q. Where can I check the expiry date of my points?

Login to MYPAGE, check the expiry date on the “Points Statement” page on the menu.
